Is Sarah Palin Gettin’ a Fair Shake? (givin’ a shout out to the voters!)
Admittedly, I’m not the most interested person when it comes to politics. I have strong opinions about our country and it’s leaders, but I don’t like to debate politics. When it comes to Sarah Palin, though, I don’t think there’s anything to debate. How the heck (as Palin would put it) did McCain choose her as his running mate? The only reason I can think of is that he decided he needed a woman. But this woman?
Sure, I’m a democrat and therefore hope that Obama is elected. That aside, I just can’t envision Palin as the co-leader of our country. To be blunt, she’s just kind of goofy. Take a look at an outtake of the vice-presidential debate.
Now take a look at Tina Fey’s SNL satire. This is just eerie.
The real debate was just pathetic, and had to have been a complete embarassment to the McCain camp. I would love to have been a fly on the wall during the discussions leading to the selection of Sarah Palin for McCain’s running mate.

From what I understand John McCain didn’t make the decision and I have to wonder if this is part of the reason why he’s lost a lot of the sparkle he had a few months back. I’m pretty sure that in the list of people he could have chosen, he’d of ranked her way, way down!
Katieanne, as usual, is correct. Palin was chosen by the Republican National Committee, not by McCain, who wanted either Lieberman or Tom Ridge. But both of those guys are pro-life, and the RNC wanted a pick that would fire up the base, as they didn’t really like McCain all that much to begin with.
She’s a horrible pick unless you’re completely desperate and your goal is to win the daily news cycle.
Cheers
